Kakaʻako Makai Scenarios Workshop

Please Join Us on 9/19: Kakaʻako Makai Scenarios Workshop

On behalf of the Hawaiʻi Community Development Authority (HCDA), we thank you for your continued engagement in the conversation about the future of Kakaʻako Makai.

We are excited to invite you to the next step in the planning process: the Kakaʻako Makai Area Plan Scenarios Workshop on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM).

Since the March 2026 Community Visioning Workshop, community input and technical analysis have helped shape four potential land use scenarios for Kakaʻako Makai. At the Scenarios Workshop, you will have an opportunity to learn more about each scenario, provide feedback, and participate in interactive activities exploring what the future of Kakaʻako Makai could look like.

Your voice and participation are important to shaping the Kaka’ako Makai Area Plan, and we hope you will join us!
